Here to Help
Counselling is a professional process in which a trained counsellor helps a person (the client) explore and understand their thoughts, feelings, behaviours, and challenges in a safe, supportive, and confidential environment.
The aim is to support personal growth, improve mental health, and help the cope with difficulties in areas such as relationships, stress, anxiety, grief, trauma, or life decisions, amongst many other things.
Key features of counselling:
- Confidentiality – what’s shared stays private (with some safety-related exceptions).
- Non-judgmental, empathetic support – the counsellor listens without criticism.
- Guidance, not advice – instead of telling you what to do, counsellors help you explore options and make your own choices.
- Empowerment – building coping strategies, resilience, and self-understanding.

About Me
Hello, my name is Hannah (MBACP) and a warm welcome to my website.

How I Work
I completed my formal education in 2024 and I am a Humanistic Counsellor, trained in Person Centred Counselling. This means in our sessions I work in a way that puts you at the centre of our work and I will focus on your individual perspective and experiences. I see my role as creating a safe non-judgemental environment where you feel able to explore whatever is important to you. Going at your pace, I will be right there with you facilitating your exploration and navigating our way together.
Typically, sessions will be held weekly for 50 minutes each, unless otherwise agreed. Times, dates and the initial number of sessions can be negotiated before sessions will commence. I offer a complimentary 15 minute introductory session, either by phone or Zoom. This is to discuss what you would like to gain from therapy and it’s a chance for you to decide whether I feel like the right fit for you. I will also gather some further information about you, as well as explain in more detail the way in which I work. I will then give you some time to decide if you would like to work with me, and you can contact me to book a full 50-minute session.
I work with adults over the age of 18 and offer short-term, long-term, or open-ended therapy depending on your individual needs and budget.
If you'd like to have an informal chat, book an introductory session, or get some more information on how I work, please get in touch. I would be delighted to hear from you.
Sessions are priced at £55.
